Rick is the founder and Senior Vice President of Sovereign Rehabilitation of Illinois as well as the acting clinic director for our Beverly Clinic. As a physical therapist specializing in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, post-surgical rehabilitation, neurological disorders and amputees, Rick's quiet and gentle spirit, combined with his vast clinical experience, provides a unique and effective approach to patient care. Rick is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, served two years as President of the Illinois Physical Therapy Association, and currently serves on the American Medical Association's committee on Resource Values. As a physical therapist, entrepreneur and administrator for more than 20 years, Rick has established and managed more than 20 rehabilitation sites. His passion for development and growth of quality therapy practices continues to meet the needs of those seeking superior rehabilitative services for both adults and children in the greater Chicago area.

What to expect


Screenings are provided free of charge and offer an opportunity to meet with one of our therapy specialists to address specific concerns.


The therapist will assess strengths and weaknesses and determine the best therapy plan. This can include a formal standardized assessment as well as clinical observation of movement, behavior. Therapists will usually begin by asking background information. The evaluation includes a written report of findings and interpretation of the results.

Individual Therapy Session

Most therapy sessions are scheduled for one hour. Therapists then engage activities specifically designed to enhance performance in the goal areas identified. The therapist will suggest therapies to implement at home.
